THAT IS THE PLACE

It is said that Morinj is halfway between Herceg Novi and Kotor. But it might not be true. Kotor and Herceg Novi are approximately equidistant from Morinj, for Morinj is the center of Boka Kotorska. A quaint coastal town, as if painted yet real and seemingly self-sufficient. Lower and Upper Morinj – coastal, and mountainous respectively echo centuries of fisherman and sailors. Sailors of the famous Boka fleets, exploring under the sails of Perast and Kotor captains. Fishermen befriended the sea, respecting and loving it, and the sea, in return, fed them with the wealth of its depths. Experiences of past generations are visible today in the spirit of the locals. Today, Morinj boasts the bay’s cleanest waters fed by Orjen mountain streams, offering unexpected coolness even in summer’s heat. Ćatovića mlini tavern resides in Morinj.
